A troll's riddle

"Come closer, two-legged servants of felines, and answer a riddle in rhyme,
And if you answer it right, I’ll give you the gift I store for wintertime.”
“If I snore loudly through a snore-cancelling microphone,
Would I be a trolling kitty or just a squirrel with a jokey tone?"

(And a troll's riddle has no answer, it is a play of silly nonsense.)

When the wicked treacherous slippers invaded our home
Humans fled, as if the Huns were approaching Rome
By a mighty swing of a paw
By a leap the swiftest of all
A feline legendarily defeated the slippers at the door~
Like Sir Francis Drake kept the Spanish Armada off British shore
